Jala University and UTN Regional Avellaneda Signed an Educational Articulation Agreement

The institutions reinforce their commitment to mutual collaboration to create educational access opportunities for talented Argentine students in the software industry.

With the aim of federalizing access opportunities to education, Jala University (a North American university focused on expanding software knowledge in Latin America) and the regional UTN Avellaneda signed an academic articulation agreement in October.

This agreement, which was signed by Ramiro Guede -Country Manager of Jala University in Argentina- and Lic. Luis Garaventa -Dean of the UTN Avellaneda regional- aims to promote software education. One of the points of collaboration is to provide added value to students of the UTN Programming Degree with the possibility of continuing their technological training in the Commercial Software Engineering degree with a concentration in Design and Architecture at Jala University (which grants full scholarships and a 100% online modality). This training will position graduates in a more competitive way in the labor market.

“We are convinced that working together with those who share our convictions and values allows us to provide opportunities for young people interested in the technological segment to continue developing their professional profiles,” said Guede.

Garaventa, for his part, reflected on the present and the projections for students: “From the faculty we see that programming will become part of everyday life in the near future and will have an increase in its use in the professional technical field. For this reason, the signing of the framework agreement with Jala University is of utmost importance, understanding the needs of the community in the present and in the future.”

The alliance also aims to establish mechanisms that favor the coordinated execution of activities, paying special attention to the offer of university extension courses, which will be open to the entire community. Through these initiatives, the aim is to respond to a growing demand in the area of technology, thus contributing to the development and growth of the community. By providing these training courses, the aim is to foster an inclusive environment in the digital and technical field, benefiting not only the participants, but also the industry.

Since its arrival in Argentina, Jala University has been working hard to build bridges with academic and governmental institutions in the country in order to connect the project with the region’s particularities. Currently, several scholarship students from the Avellaneda regional UTN are shaping their professional profiles at Jala University.
