Transforming access to technological education in Brazil

Over the past three years, university education access rates in Brazil have remained at 26%, according to a report published in 2025 by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). This indicates that there is still low participation of young people in higher education programs.

Several factors contribute to this reality: socioeconomic conditions, high competition for university admission, and high transportation and mobility costs between cities. These obstacles make it difficult for many young people to access university education.

In the technology field, the situation is even more challenging: According to data published by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) in 2022, only 3% of young Brazilians choose careers in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), despite the high demand and job opportunities this sector offers.

Faced with this situation, our university proposes higher education in technology, adapted to the current needs of the commercial software market and supported by the experience of our trainers and tutors.

We are proud to be present in most regions of the country, with students studying Commercial Software Engineering from Recife, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, among other cities. This allows us to:

  • Facilitate access to a professional career without students having to bear high transportation or relocation costs.
  • Provide the opportunity to study from home, with the support of their families during their undergraduate education.

In addition, we offer full 100% scholarships throughout the entire program and a degree validated in the United States, granted after an admission process in which candidates interested in joining the University participate.

We also celebrate the growth of women’s participation in STEM fields, with a current rate of 18% and growth projections that we will continue to promote for future generations within our university community.

All these benefits are complemented by classes in English, preparing our students for real-world professional challenges, and classes in Portuguese, ensuring effective learning adapted to the local context.

We are currently promoting our admission process. If you are interested in technology, or know someone who wants to turn their passion into a profession, our Commercial Software Engineering program is the ideal choice.

One of our pillars is inclusive education: that is why, at Jala University, all students receive a full university scholarship. We believe in the young talent of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, and we want to ensure that no student is left out for economic reasons.

Learn how our practical curriculum works and begin your journey to becoming a software engineer with a vision in artificial intelligence.
